Position Overview

Brooklyn family seeks a nurturing and energetic full-time nanny for their 21-month-old son, with a second child (girl) arriving in fall 2024. This position offers an opportunity to work with a collaborative family in a work-from-home environment, where the father works from the office three days per week.

Location & Schedule Details

  • Location: Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn (Fort Hamilton F train stop)

  • Start Date: March 2024

  • Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM (50 hours/week)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Annual Salary: $71,500 gross

  • Maximum Annual Earnings: Up to $85,800 gross (50-hour work week)

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive and engaging childcare for toddler (and infant, starting fall 2024)

  • Plan and prepare nutritious breakfast and lunch

  • Manage bottle preparation and feeding schedules

  • Handle diaper changes and maintain nursery cleanliness

  • Perform child-related laundry

  • Organize and attend various classes and activities, including:

    • Gymnastics class

    • YMCA class

    • Music class

    • Regular playground visits

  • Engage in developmental activities, reading, and interactive play

  • Maintain open communication with parents about daily activities and development

Additional Tasks

  • Light housekeeping during nap times, including:

    • Unloading dishwasher

    • Child's laundry

    • Sweeping/keeping shared areas tidy

  • Restocking nursery supplies

  • Maintaining organized and clean play areas

Requirements

  • Previous professional nanny experience (particularly with infants and toddlers)

  • Physical ability to lift and carry children up stairs

  • Ability to multitask and manage household duties while prioritizing childcare
