Part-Time Family Assistant for Two Children | Brooklyn Heights | $30-35/HR
Position Overview
Our client, a Brooklyn Heights family, seeks an educated and reliable Family Assistant for their two children (13-year-old and 7-year-old). This position offers a great opportunity to serve as both a positive role model and mentor while providing meaningful support.
Schedule & Location
Monday through Friday, school pickup at 3:00 PM
20-25 hours per week: afterschool and variable over the summer (will work with candidate to plan)
Located in Brooklyn Heights
Position includes 6 weeks off during summer while children attend sleep-away camp
Start date: ASAP
Responsibilities
Manage daily school pickups and transportation
Provide homework assistance
Engage children in physical activities, with focus on basketball and baseball
Organize and facilitate playdates and social activities
Support younger child's social connections
Prepare healthy meals and snacks
Assist with children's laundry and organizing their spaces
Maintain tidiness in common areas
Perform family assistant duties as needed
Requirements
Experience working with middle school and elementary-aged children
Athletic background preferred (baseball knowledge is a significant plus)
Flexibility for additional hours during school holidays or children's sick days
House management, personal assistant, or administrative experience
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to engage children in their interests and support their development

Hourly rate: $30-35/hour based on experience
