Job #2459
Seeking Outgoing Family Assistant in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn
Position Overview: A Clinton Hill family is seeking an experienced childcare professional for their newborn and three-year-old children. This full-time position centers on a collaborative childcare approach, with a focus on flexibility and evolution as the family's needs change. The daily rhythm involves morning support during mom-and-baby time while maintaining household flow, transitioning to primary baby care during afternoon school pickup hours, and flexibly supporting both children as needed throughout the day.
The position offers excellent stability with guaranteed hours and opportunities for overtime. The family maintains a professional cleaning service every few weeks, allowing the childcare professional to focus on assisting the family with maintenance tasks and child-related household management.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced childcare provider who values being part of a collaborative, communicative household. The family's extended relatives live nearby, making this perfect for someone who enjoys a warm, interactive environment rather than a solitary work setting. For this food-loving family, finding someone who shares their passion for cooking would be ideal.
Important Note: This role focuses on being a supportive team player, especially during the newborn phase. While the position includes household tasks, these are meant to be handled flexibly as an extra set of hands while mom focuses on the newborn - not as a rigid list of duties. The goal is to maintain household flow and pitch in where needed, rather than tackle all tasks independently. We're looking for someone who understands the natural ebb and flow of supporting a family with a newborn and can adjust their support organically.
