Skilled Culinary & Home Harmonizer Needed in Park Slope
Job Title: Full-Time Housekeeper/Chef with Childcare Experience
Location: Park Slope
Start Date: TBD (after September 30th)
Schedule: 35 hours/week, with flexibility for early mornings, late evenings, and occasional overnights
Compensation: $35-$40/hour, depending on experience and qualifications
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and versatile housekeeper to maintain a well-organized home environment, prepare delicious meals, and provide occasional support for a 7th-grade child. The ideal candidate will excel in housekeeping and culinary arts, with the ability to assist with childcare as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
Housekeeping (50%):
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming home environment
Perform daily cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, dusting, and bathroom maintenance
Manage laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing clothes
Oversee home organization and decluttering projects
Coordinate with and manage other household service providers as needed
Culinary (35%):
Plan and prepare nutritious, varied meals for mother and daughter
Create weekly meal plans and manage grocery shopping
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
Prepare meals for storage and future use when appropriate
Childcare and Family Support (15%):
Provide occasional care and supervision for a 7th-grade child
Coordinate and manage the child's schedule, including after-school activities and appointments
Run errands and manage household tasks as required
Be available for occasional overnight care and potential travel to Vermont & Nantucket

Requirements:
Proven experience in household management, professional housekeeping, or as a nanny/housekeeper.
Experience in childcare, particularly with middle school-aged children
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Excellent references from previous household or culinary positions
Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background check
