Full-Time Nanny for School-Age Children Location: UES, with summer relocation to Hamptons/Sag Harbor

Start Date: As soon as possible

Schedule:

  • Regular schedule: Monday-Friday, approximately 1/2 PM to 7/8 PM

  • Summer schedule (July-August): Full-time live-in, 8 days with mother, 6 days with father

  • Additional hours may be needed during school holidays

Compensation: $30-35+ $1500/week guarantee

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced nanny to provide after-school care and support for two boys, ages 7.5 and 4.5, in a two-household family. The position involves working 40 hours per week during the school year, with a transition to full-time live-in care during July and August in the Hamptons/Sag Harbor.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide after-school care and evening support for two school-age boys

  • Assist with transitions between parents' homes (11 days with mother, 4 days with father rotation)

  • Organize children's belongings and schedules

  • Prepare healthy after-school snacks and dinner

  • Run family errands and shopping

  • Keep family areas neat and tidy

  • Provide school pick-up and transportation as needed

  • Create a stable, nurturing environment in both homes

Additional Tasks:

  • Assist with children's homework and educational activities

  • Plan and supervise age-appropriate activities

  • Communicate effectively with both parents regarding children's schedules and needs

  • Adapt to changing schedules, especially during school holidays

Desired Qualities:

  • Experience with school-age children, particularly in a co-parenting situation

  • Excellent organizational skills to manage the 11:4 schedule and transitions

  • Ability to create a stable, nurturing environment in both homes

  • Skilled in preparing healthy, child-friendly meals

  • Reliable and experienced driver

  • Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules

  • Patient, caring, and energetic

  • Strong communication skills

Requirements:

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

  • Ability to travel occasionally with the family

  • Availability to work full-time live-in during July and August in the Hamptons/Sag Harbor

  • Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background check

Additional Information:

  • Summer months (July and August) will involve full-time live-in care in the Hamptons/Sag Harbor
