Job Details

  • Location: Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, NY

  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 3 PM to 7 PM (one day ending at 6 PM)

  • Pay Rate: $25-35 per hour

  • Start Date: Immediate

  • Additional Hours: Occasional date nights and family events

This Brooklyn household includes an artistic 9-year-old daughter (primary focus) and two independent teenagers who don't require direct supervision but are part of the family environment. Parents work from home but prefer minimal involvement in daily childcare routines.

Core Responsibilities

After-School Care

  • Pick up daughter from school

  • Manage safe transitions to home or activities

  • Support after-school organization (emptying backpack, handling permission slips)

  • Clean out lunch boxes and manage school-related items

Child Development

  • Engage in enriching activities that foster responsibility and creativity

  • Support academic needs with awareness of dyslexia/neurodivergent considerations

  • Create opportunities for artistic expression and growth

Household Management

  • Prepare and plan nutritious, home-cooked meals

  • Model tidy habits and perform light cleaning
