Energetic, Full-Time Family Coordinator & Nanny in Southampton (Option for live-in or summer only)

Location: Southampton, NY

Start Date: June, 2024

Schedule:

  • Varied full-time + overtime schedule with core hours from 4 PM to 7 PM, Monday to Friday.

  • Option for live-in (44 hours per week plus overtime) or live-out (40 hours per week plus overtime).

Compensation: $35-40 / hour. Additional benefits include 1 week of paid time off,  5 sick days, 8 paid holidays, and an end-of-year bonus. Specific terms will be discussed further with qualified candidates.

Position Summary:

A private family in South Hampton is seeking a full-time, experienced Nanny to provide individualized childcare for their three sons, aged approximately 3, 8, and 6 years. The ideal candidate will be responsible for engaging the children in educational and recreational activities, assisting with daily routines, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and care for children at the family’s residence.

  • Plan and lead educational activities, including reading, arts and crafts, games, and outdoor play.

  • Assist with homework and school projects as needed.

  • Transport children to and from school, activities, and appointments.

  • Ensure children’s safety during indoor and outdoor activities.

  • Prepare meals and snacks for the children.

  • Help maintain cleanliness in the children’s living spaces.

  • Manage children’s schedules and routines to balance rest, play, and learning.

  • Provide regular updates to parents on children’s progress and daily activities.

  • Enforce rules and boundaries to teach appropriate behavior.

Requirements:

  • Fluent in Greek is highly preferred.

  • Strong swimming skills are required; bonus points for candidates with a lifeguard certification.

  • Clean driving record and comfortable transporting children.

  • Proven experience in childcare, with references.

  • Excellent understanding of child development in different age stages.

  • Ability to act as a parent-helper, being proactive, engaging, and assertive.

  • Tech-savvy to assist with educational tools and apps.

  • Creative and energetic, able to plan entertaining and educational activities.

  • Experience in managing sibling dynamics and maintaining discipline with a firm yet loving approach.

  • Excellent communication skills.

Schedule:
