Location: South Slope, Brooklyn

Start Date: January 2025 

Schedule:

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM

• Potential for additional Wednesday hours

• 35-40 hours per week with guaranteed hours

Compensation: $30-35 per hour with guaranteed hours ($62,400-$83,200 annually based on a 40-hour week)

Position Overview: We're seeking an experienced nanny for a 3-month-old girl in South Slope. This position is with a mother who needs a dedicated partner in her daughter's care. MUST LOVE DOGS - the family has a spirited dog who requires experienced handling. A professional dog walker is already in place.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive and nurturing care for a 3-month-old infant

• Support and navigate feeding challenges related to tongue tie

• Implement age-appropriate developmental activities

• Maintain detailed daily logs of feeding, sleep, and activities

• Safely manage interactions with the family’s pet dog

• Coordinate with mother and professional dog walker

• Maintain a clean and organized childcare environment

Desired Qualities:

• Strong knowledge of infant development and care practices

• Experience with feeding challenges and infant care routines

• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach

• Flexible and adaptive caregiving style while maintaining safety standards

• Eager to engage in a collaborative learning approach with mother's parenting vision

Requirements:

• Proven experience caring for infants under 6 months

• Extensive dog handling experience (non-negotiable)

• Verifiable references from previous infant care positions

• Current CPR and First Aid certification

• Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background check
