Nanny/Manny Needed for High-Profile Family in Bedford, NY

A private family in Bedford, NY, is looking for a compassionate, enthusiastic Nanny or Manny for their twin sons. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who’s knowledgeable about school-aged childcare, specifically preteens. This individual must be able to create a fun, active, and positive environment for the twins. Such as interacting with them, facilitating fun and creative activities, coordinating the family calendar, keeping their things organized, encouraging them, and more.The ideal candidate must be flexible, energetic, adaptable, punctual, proactive, a self-starter, and know how to troubleshoot issues independently. Must have the flexibility to travel and stay over occasionally. The family tends to travel, so they must be passport-ready for this position. The candidate must like pets. Having a bachelor’s degree is preferred, but experience is essential. Lastly, both parents have flexible schedules to work from home. The nanny must be comfortable working in close partnership with both parents when they are at home.

This position is flexible to either live-in or live-out: 

    •    The schedule is Monday through Friday, afternoon to evenings (40hrs. a week).

    •    Ability to work Saturdays or Sundays, from mornings to evenings.

    •    Additional hours may be required with notice. So, an ideal candidate who is flexible.

Pet Care:

The family has 3 pets. One dog that’s a Dutch Shepherd, and two cats. You are to feed the pets and let the dog out when the parents aren’t home.

 Compensation & Benefits:

    •    This position is paid gross with overtime. This position is $40-$45 per hour, PTO (e.g, paid federal holidays, two weeks of vacation, and sick days.)

    •    A discretionary performance bonus.

    •    Separate house with kitchen, etc. for live-in option.

    •    Healthcare Stipend

Covid Risk Tolerance: 

    •    The family is open about Covid.

Start Date: Begins on 08/22/2023. This is a long-term role.

Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

    •    Safety first. 

    •    Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of the twins

    •    Follows parents’ approach to childcare and embraces family parenting style

    •    Manage daily care and supervision of the twins

    •    Adhere to the twin’s schedule (e.g., School drop-off and pick-ups, and any plan playdates and after-school activities.)

    •    Facilitate intellectual development (e.g.,, overlooking any schoolwork, etc.)

    •    Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates and afterschool activities

    •    Ability to plan fun activities, keeping the twins active and engage

    •    Manage children's calender and pack/unpack for travel.

    •    Support children with their daily task (e.g., setting table, putting dishes away)

    •    Ability to make meals for the twins.

    •    Laundry for the twins. 

    •    Manage all aspects of the twin’s property with utmost cleanliness and organization, including meals/snacks and clean-up, hanging clothes after laundry, cleaning toys/books, etc.

Qualifications: 

    •    US, Work Authorization

    •    Minimum of 5 years of professional Nanny experience

    •    Twins/multiple children experience

    •    Preteen experience

    •    Bachelors’ Degree or higher huge plus

    •    Driver’s License

    •    Passport

    •    Traveling experience

    •    Must know how to swim

    •    Comfortable signing an NDA

    •    Up to date on all vaccinations

    •    Covid vaccination and boosted

    •    CPR and First-Aid certifications
